CHAPTER LEARNING EVENT

Learning Technologies

Developing Interactive PDFs from PPT

To build the kind of rapid learning cultures that thrive in times of transformation, organizations are experimenting with microlearning—delivering short, focused learning experiences throughout an employee’s day, week, and career. Delivering content in a bite-sized, on-demand format engages employees and boosts their performance.

Join us as we learn how interactive PDFs can be employed as a cheap, fast, and engaging tool in your arsenal of learning solutions. Even better, we'll practice making them with Microsoft Office's most versatile and underutilized resource that you're probably ignoring—PowerPoint.

Note: This will be a hands-on, building workshop. While you can learn the principles and techniques through observation and note taking, you will have a better experience if you can bring your laptop and PowerPoint with you.

Christian Sorensen is a Sr. Instructional Designer at Optum. While he’s currently employed as an instructional designer on an eLearning development team, he has a passion for learning for learning’s sake, which has led to a diversity of interests (and awards) along a varied career path. He thinks technology is fun and looks for ways to let it increase his learning solutions' impact. He has been a volunteer on the Utah Chapter Board since 2014, serving as Chapter President in 2016. When he sets his daytime identity aside, you'll likely catch him knitting or gardening or cuddling beasties or binging Netflix.
