Development Tools


Mitch will provide helpful tips and ideas to leverage technology and development tools to produce the best learning solutions. He will also share his experience selecting the most effective development tools including software, online products, and  cloud resources. Finally, Mitch will facilitate a meaningful discussion encouraging others to share their tools and resources. Be ready to make notes, save web pages, and try some of the tools he presents.

 Recommendation: Have two monitors available during the presentation.

Presenter: Mitch Stout

Mitch Stout is a Senior Learning Experience designer who works at Mountain America Credit Union. For the past three years, he has worked on core learning programs, instructional design processes, professional development programs, leadership development programs, and media design and production. Before coming to Mountain America Mitch spent 25 years at Fidelity Investments as a broker, brokerage helpdesk associate, brokerage manager, trainer, and instructional designer. He has extensive experience in customer service, risk management, performance management, call center management, training, and learning design.

Mitch is passionate about learning experience design because effective learning and development builds skills and behaviors which improve success. Mitch also believes that happiness drives success and not the other way around.

Mitch attended Brigham Young University and has owned his own video production company since 1996. He has produced numerous corporate, commercial, and consumer videos, programs, and presentations.

In his spare time, Mitch enjoys playing the piano, anything that has to do with military aviation, and spending time with his wife and four children. He currently lives in Riverton, Utah.
